As a result of our expanding offices in Asia, we are looking for extremely creative and innovative Senior Landscape Architect to lead the Landscape Design practice in our Shanghai office.

Education:
Bachelors in Landscape Architecture or closely related field required, Masters in Landscape Architecture preferred.

Required Experience:
Min. 10 years post graduate experience

License/Certification: Licensed professional preferred

Responsibilities:
• Working closely with the MD and Director of Operations to lead the landscape design team.
• Plays a key role in projects as a lead designer.
• Leads projects that are medium to large in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule, and staff are working together effectively.
• Develops landscape design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems.
• Serves as a technical design expert to the project, but generally works through staff to develop and execute design.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard landscape architecture techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects.
• Manages the presentation and report development for clients.
• Plays a key role in client management and client satisfaction.
• Leads marketing efforts to current clients and is instrumental in identifying and attracting new clients.

Requirements:
• Practicing landscape designer with a strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.
• Experience working as lead designer on large-scale international projects.
• Proven experience successfully managing teams; well regarded by peers and direct reports.
• Strong client management skills.
• Strong financial and budget management skills.
• Proven track record in successfully securing new work as well as maintaining existing contracts.
• Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and, Adobe Creative Suite software packages.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Fluency in English essential.
